Fastrack - Canine Microbial Gel

Fastrack Canine Microbial Gel is a concentrated probiotic product that is perfect for all dogs – from birth to old age.  It is recommended as needed, especially at birth, weaning, worming, travel, while taking antibiotics or other periods of illness, especially acute diarrhea.  The gel contains high amounts of both Lactobacillus acidophilus and Enterococcus faecium which are health-promoting or beneficial bacteria.  Both species are active in both the large and small intestines. Fastrack canine gel is most suitable for occasional rather than daily use, and for use in acute situations such as loose stool, travel, stress, antibiotic use etc.

Ingredients:

Vegetable oil, dried egg product, hydrolyzed yeast, dl-alpha tocopherylacetate (source of vitamin E activity), sucrose, lecithin, dried chicory root, silicon dioxide, dried Enterococcus faecium fermentation product, active dry yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), vitamin A acetate, dried Bacillus subtilis fermentation product, and dried Lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product.

Health Benefits:

Probiotics have several health benefits for our dogs including, attaching to the villi lining in the small intestine to aid nutrient absorption and nutrient utilization.  Probiotics also prevent harmful bacteria from attaching and proliferating.  Other benefits include secreting lactic acid to assist in maintaining a stable digestive tract pH restricting pathogenic E. coli and Salmonella growth and producing bacteriocins and other metabolites to further restrict pathogenic E. coli and Salmonella proliferation.  Probiotics support the immune function through the binding of unidentified factors from the beneficial bacteria to the animal’s own immune receptors that triggers an intracellular cascade of released proteins that heighten the animal’s own immune response to invading pathogens
