Product Description

Fastrack 80 cc Ruminant Gel is a concentrated probiotic product that is perfect for dogs, even though they aren’t ruminants – from birth to old age.  It is recommended as needed, especially at birth, weaning, worming, travel, while taking antibiotics or other periods of illness, especially acute diarrhea.  The gel contains high amounts of both Lactobacillus acidophilus and Enterococcus faecium which are health-promoting or beneficial bacteria.  Both species are active in both the large and small intestines.  They benefit both puppies and dogs in the following ways:

• Attaching to the villi lining in the small intestine to aid nutrient absorption and nutrient utilization
• Preventing harmful bacteria from attaching and proliferating
• Secreting lactic acid to assist in maintaining a stable digestive tract pH restricting pathogenic E. coli and Salmonella growth
• Producing bacteriocins and other metabolites to further restrict pathogenic E. coli and Salmonella proliferation
• Supporting immune function through the binding of unidentified factors from the beneficial bacteria to the animal’s own immune receptors that triggers an intracellular cascade of released proteins that heighten the animal’s own immune response to invading pathogens

Fastrack ruminant gel is most suitable for occasional rather than daily use, and for use in acute situations such as loose stool, travel, stress, antibiotic use etc.
